Clinical Dharma/Buddhist Mindfulness for Clinicians, Caregivers, and Supporting Occupations
by Dr. Stephen Dansiger
As healers and helpers, we are consistently on the front lines, witnessing the suffering and hardships of our clients. Additionally, we may be dealing with our own personal struggles with relationships, health, finances, and more. For the past 2600 years, Buddhist mindfulness and the therapies and practices connected to this system of healing have contributed to psychological and spiritual relief for millions of people. Clinical Dharma is a simple yet elegant way to maintain our direction and our purpose while also keeping our sanity by cultivating a deeper insight into the truth of suffering. By learning the tools and practices that help bring relief and meaning to our own suffering, we can share that power of transformation with those we counsel.
